A loan of $1,100 helped buy car repair parts.

Neida Betzabeth's story

The members of the loan group San Gregorio meet every fortnight in Ciudadela San Gregorio, in the outskirts of Portoviejo.

Neida has been happily married for 43 years and as a result of this great love she has four grown-up children, who still live at home. From Monday to Friday she works in a snack factory. She sells Yanbal products (beauty products and perfumes), also to her workmates. She owns a business that sells car parts along with her eldest son, who is a mechanic and whose garage is next door. This closeness helps sales. She buys the parts from a gentlemen who sells them directly from the factory and gives her a lower wholesale price.

She is going to invest the loan in the purchase of electric car parts. She has been part of the loan group for a number of cycles and is very grateful to Fundacion Espoir for the support received. She hopes to be able to continue for much longer. Her goals are to continue with her business and buy a car so as to be able to make her purchases herself.
