A loan of $500 helped purchase of materials to grow papayas.

Samuel Isidro's story

Samuel is 45 years old and married. He lives with his wife and their two children ages 14 and 12, who are economically dependent on him. He is dedicated to the planting of papayas craft that he learned from his father who also did this type of cultivation. He has now planted 80 plants of this fruit and does not have a fixed work schedule. The type of fruit he grows is in demand in the market and Samuel is certain that his production will be sold. He is requesting a loan to invest in the purchase of fertilizers and insecticides to provide the necessary treatment for his plantation. This will help to have the materials needed to maintain the good state of the plantation and make sure that pests do not affect production. This will also help obtain a better harvest of papayas so that they can be commercialized. He aspires to be a great short-term producer of papayas and earn more income to provide a better life for his family.
