A loan of $800 helped to add to his stock of timber.

Abubakar's story

Abubakar D. is a 36-year-old landlord and carpenter with a carpentry shop in Miritini, Mombasa. He is married to Mwajumbe, and they have two children. Abubakar has been in the carpentry business for the last two years, and he has been successful. His monthly income is enough to sustain him and his family’s needs.

This will be Abubakar’s second loan from KADET. He would like to add to his stock of timber in his carpentry shop and use the anticipated profit to boost his wife’s business.

In the future Abubakar would like to open up a bigger hardware shop in Mombasa.
