Hard-working, dependable and die-hard agriculturalist, K. Wilson, aged 56 years, has been maintaining a banana plantation and coffee plantation for more than 20 years in his home area of Nombe, Ntungamo. This earns him 320,000 Ugandan shillings per month from banana sales, although not enough to sustain his family of seven children as some are still students attending different institutions of learning.
Wilson has persevered to keep the enterprise growing. His aim for taking up this loan is to enable him buy mulch and manure for his plantations as he seeks to expand by transporting his products to bigger markets. This will help him to increase productivity and also earn more revenue and be able to live a more sustaining life.
