Florencia's story

Florencia belongs to the communal bank, "Nueva Visión de Urubamba," or ‘New Vision of Urubamba.’ The bank is located in the Urubamba district, belonging to the Urubamba province and Cusco department.

Florencia is 58 years old and widowed with 5 children. She schedules her daily activities around her business of buying and selling vegetables and alfalfa to be used as feed for guinea pigs and rabbits.

Florencia works independently selling in the Urubamba market from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Through this small business, she provides the best for her children. She wants to have a store to sell the vegetables and alfalfa. She requests the loan to purchase wholesale vegetables and alfalfa.
