A loan of $375 helped to purchase bags of fertilizer to continue sowing potatoes.

William's story

William is 23 and lives in the home of a family member with his aunt and cousins. As a child, he started working the land that he inherited from his parents. Currently, with the help of his family, he is able to cover all of his land with potato crops, thus achieving his goal of generating his own income. However, when it is harvest time he hires labourers to help with the harvesting of his products. He says that he enjoys working in the fields, as this is his only source of income; furthermore, this activity has made him independent, so he hopes to continue farming more intensively. This is his first loan with MFP. He is very happy to know that he has financial support, and he is grateful to be part of his community bank because all of the members are responsible and very supportive people. He thanks those who will lend money toward this loan; it will be very useful in the progress of his activities. With the loan that he is requesting, he will invest in the purchase of bags of fertilizer in order to continue sowing potatoes.
