A loan of $200 helped buy corn and different colors of silk material.

Maria Josefina's story

María, age 55, lives in the Calvario de Lolotiquillo neighborhood. She lives with her 22 year old daughter and her two grandchildren, ages 11 and 7. She is a single mother.

She sells tortillas all week, and in the afternoons she makes hammocks with her daughter.

María is requesting a loan to buy corn and the materials needed, like different colors of silk material, to make hammocks.

This loan will help her increase her tortilla and her hammock production. This will increase her sales. She will get more income to help with her financial situation.

Her aspirations are to have a strong and stable business making hammocks and selling tortillas. This will provide what is needed for her family to be able to do well.
