A loan of $700 helped to purchase basic staples like beans, rice, sugar.

Porfirio's story

Don Porfirio is 45 years old and lives in the neighborhood of Morazán de San Francisco Gotera. He is married and lives with his wife, 24-year-old son, and 2-year-old grandson that are all dependant on him.

He has 10 years of experience in selling basic staples. His wife and son both help him run the business, plus his wife raises broiler chickens on a small farm. He needs a loan to purchase products such as beans, rice, sugar, and oil to sell in his store.

This loan will help Don Porfirio increase his capital investment to be able to offer his customers a wider variety of home products, thereby increasing his family income. His goal is to increase his business and sell more goods to provide his family with greater economic stability and improve their quality of life.
