A loan of $1,075 helped pay for vehicle maintenance & purchase compost for her coffee crop.

Aquilina's story

Aquilina is 43 years old, married, and has two school age children. She lives in her own home in the town of Machente, which is located in the tropical Peruvian jungle. Ever since she was a teenager, Aquilina has always wanted to have her own vehicle. As time passed she was eventually able to buy a truck. She also takes advantage of the fertile land that she possesses for growing and selling coffee, which is enough to generate a good income.

Aquilina currently offers public transportation services and has a route through the busiest roads in the valley where she lives. She is very happy to have accomplished one of her goals thanks to the unconditional support she always receives from her husband. He is also in charge of driving the vehicle while Aquilina takes care of her coffee crops. In the future, she wants to buy a motorcycle taxi so that she can sell ice cream and lollipops that she plans to make herself in order to differentiate herself from the competition.

This is her third loan with MFP. Aquilina promises to continue completing her payments on time. In addition, she is grateful to her Communal Bank because each monthly meeting is conducted in a friendly environment. The loan she is requesting will be used to pay for vehicle maintenance in order to prevent technical problems in the future. In addition, she will buy compost to maintain her coffee crop.
