Everline's story

Everline C. is a married woman with two sons, both of whom attend school. She rents a house with electricity but no piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food, school fees, rent and clothing.

Everline has been operating her tailoring business for the last seven years. She sells her finished products in a shop and from her home to her neighbors and passersby. Her other source of income is her husband’s salary. Her major challenges are local competition and seasonality.

Everline decided to work with Yehu so as to access loans and improve her business. With 40,000 KES she wants to purchase more cloth. She hopes to have her own shop in the future.
