A loan of $400 helped to buy a variety of items for his store.

Bourama's story

Mr. Bourama Konaté is a 29 year-old married man. He lives with his wife and child in the Massablacoura neighborhood of Bougouni. Not having attended a modern school, at a young age he embarked on activities that would generate an income, such as selling clothing. That business was not successful for him. Then, he decided to observe his uncle to learn about selling grocery items in a store. After more than two years of experience, Mr. Bourama Konaté has mastered his business. In order to obtain a consistent working capital, he decided to affiliate with the Soro Yiriwaso loan program to buy a variety of grocery items for his store. This is his first loan with Soro Yiriwaso. He gets his supplies in Bamako (capital of the republic of Mali) from wholesalers. His customers come from the local population. He expects to make a monthly profit of 40,000 CFA with this loan. He wants to use the loan to expand his store.
