A loan of $450 helped to buy pork rinds wholesale.

Yovana Ubaldina's story

Yovana has been a member of the communal bank “Flor de Kantuta” for three years. It is in ths district and province of Yunguyo, Puno department. She is 27 years old, in a common law marriage, and has finished her secondary education. She has two children, 6 and 1, repsectively.
She buys and sells porks rinds, which she takes from Desaguadero to Tacna. She distributes them wholesale. She also has a grocery store in Yunguyo. With the first loan that she asked for from the Movimiento Manuela Ramos, which was for S/. 300.00 nuevos soles, she was able to increase her capital.

She will ask for a new loan of S/. 1200.00 nuevos soles to purchase pork rinds. Her vision is to run a call center. What she likes the most about her little communal bank is the way her developer works.
