A loan of $1,075 helped to buy raw brick making raw materials.

Sonia's story

Sonia, 27, lives with her life partner and their 7-year-old daughter, Hayde. They live in Santa Rosa where they have their own adobe house. Sonia’s business is selling bricks that she herself makes. This is a business that she had to work very hard to get ahead. She is happy and satisfied with the project she started because now she has quite a bit of presence in her area thanks to the quality and durability of her bricks. In fact, her most recurring customers are satisfied with the good service and efficient delivery she provides. Her sales increased significantly compared to other months.

Usually she works with her partner and together they make a good working team. Sometimes, when she needs to increase production, she will hire laborers to facilitate brick making.

Her future plan is to build her house out of more substantial materials in order to provide her family with more comfort and security.

This is her 5th loan with MFP and she pledges to continue to repay in a timely fashion. She is happy with her communal bank because all the members are committed to pay on time.

The requested funds will be used to buy raw materials and supplies that will make artisanal brick making easier.
