A loan of $4,575 helped a member purchase of hair salon products.

Las Hijas Del Rey Group's story

This committee is now in its sixth cycle. It is made up of 18 members who each carry out their own work and feel very satisfied doing so as they are able to help their families. Even though they are involved in different lines of work, they all feel a shared sense of responsibility to each other to repay the loan they have received as a group.

One of the committee's members is Norma A.. She is 36 years of age and is a single mother to a 12 year old daughter. She is a hairdresser and runs a salon from her house. She is a very active person and also works weekends to generate more income so she can cover the costs of running her house and pay for her daughter’s school fees.

Norma believes that if you set yourself a goal, you can achieve anything if you are prepared to sacrifice a little. She is requesting a loan to purchase products such as shampoo and conditioner for her beauty salon.
