A loan of $900 helped stock her store with various products.

Mirta's story

Mirtha is 51, she owns a house made of good material and lives there with her husband Sergio, 53 and their daughter Mayra 18, her other five children are older and independent.

When she got married she thought of starting a business and as time went by she decided to sell groceries from her home. After a while the small business grew and now she has a whole area of the house a well stocked store where she offers groceries and soda.

She says work is calm because she doesn’t leave the house and she also has the help of her daughter that works at the store in her free time, this way she helps her husband with the home expenses.

Because she is a hardworking lady she also works doing hand beading on clothing, which she does during the mornings, she works with a third party that drops of the clothing to be beaded and picks it up when the beading is finished. For the future, she plans to stock her store with more food and buy new shelves to show the products better.

This is the sixth loan with MFP and she promises to make her repayments on time because she doesn’t want to disappoint all the people that made the loan possible and that will allow her to work in search of progress. Mirtha plans to invest the loan requested in buying food and pop to stock her store better, part of the loan will also be used to buy beads to finish working on some clothes she has pending.
