A loan of $375 helped bUYING VETCH SEEDS TO SOW.

Luzmila's story

Luzmila, 31 years old, is the mother of a family and has struggled always to get ahead. She lives in her mother-in-law's house with her husband Fredy, who is 26, and her dear son Bryan, to whom she wishes to offer a good education. The green fields of Huaracayo (a district of Tarma province) have always been a feature of Luzmila's life. This is a very agreeable place to work. Since she was very small, Luzmila's parents taught her farming skills and, now, she has her own lands in which she works with much care and sacrifice. What Luzmila likes most about her work is cultivating vetch and corn. She has been doing this for 21 years. What she considers most difficult is transporting her harvests to where she sells them, the market of Tarma. In time, she hopes to establish a small stall in the market, because she believes she loses much by selling them at wholesale. This is her 8th loan with MFP, and she understands the responsibility of making all her payments punctually which she is disposed to do. Within her communal bank she is always up to date on the agreements they arrive at. With the 1,000 new sols she requests Luzmila will buy vetch seeds, since this leguminous plant is selling very well in the market.
