A loan of $725 helped purchase food products to better stock her business.

Yenny's story

Yenny is 40 years old and lives in her own home with her husband, Ricardo, 46, and their three small children. They live in a populated neighborhood north of the city. This charismatic woman spends her days caring for her 1-year-old son as well as tending to her business selling juices, sandwiches and distinct meals out of a small market adjacent to the back of her home. She works with the help of her eldest sister and her daughter, and says that the business is only tedious between noon and 3 p.m., because various customers come at the same time and she has to tend to all of them. She says that she shares the profits with her sister, and they work together in search of progress. As a businesswoman she is planning to make improvements to her business in the future and thus increase her profits since she figures more customers will visit. This is her fourth loan with Kiva partner MFP, and she promises to be punctual with her payments since she knows that is the only way she will be able to repay the confidence of all the people who maD. this loan possible, allowing her to continue working. Furthermore, she is very satisfied with the performance of her group because all the members are responsible. With the loan she is requesting, Yenny is planning to invest in the purchase of larger quantities of food products to better stock her business, and in this way she hopes to keep making progress.
