A loan of $250 helped to buy a larger inventory of merchandise.

Emina Del Carmen's story

Mrs. Emina del Carmen G. P., 28, lives in a humble neighborhood. She’s married and her husband works as an Electrical Engineer for Unión Fenosa; his income helps support the household. They have three small children who are in elementary school; the youngest is in preschool.

Emina sells clothes, shoes and cosmetics. On the weekend she sets up a small eatery in her front yard to sell typical Nicaraguan dishes.

This activity has provided income for over 7 years and she wants to save up until she has enough resources to open a clothing store.

She is asking for funds to buy a large stock of merchandise to increase sales and income so that she can be planning her future investments as well as continue to improve the family’s economy for the benefit of all the family members.
