A loan of $900 helped to purchase more wood to stock the carpentry business.

Dina's story

Dina is 55 years old and she is a very hard working mother. She lives in her own home together with her husband and their two daughters. In the mornings, together with her neighbour two blocks away, she prepares various traditional and popular foods of the region. In payment for her work she and her friend are each given 6 portions of food.

In the afternoons she helps her husband sand wood that has been shaped, her way of helping out with her husband's the carpentry business. The carpentry shop is in their house so they can work at their own pace. This has been their life for the past 35 years. She is very happy with the businesses she carries out and she loves her work. In the future she hopes to build a second story in their house, to move their carpentry shop there. This is their thirty-third loan through MFP (Kiva Field Partner) and she has been very punctual with her past loans. She is a well respected member of her group. This loan will be invested in the purchase of wood and other carpentry materials to stock the business.
