Djoubo Group's story

The solidarity group DJUBOO was created about nine years ago. It is composed of nine women who are all from the same district. They formed their group according to their affinities and neighborhoods. The group is part of the Banc Villageois of KADIOR.

Ms. ROKHAYATOU S. (seated at the left in the photo) is the leader of the solidarity group. She is 52 years old, married, and the mother of six children to support. She makes and sells artisanal soaps. Her process involves the oil of wild fruit (called yeme) harvested in the forest. With her new loan, she is going to buy several drums of yeme oil in order to increase her production. Her goal in supporting her husband is to support the family.

In this group: Rokhayatou, Fatou Diatta, Alimatou, Nene Binta, Dieynaba, Therese, Aissatou, Maimouna, Fatou
