A loan helped to buy agricultural inputs to improve the nutrition of his cacao trees.

Hector Lorenzo's story

Héctor, 47, is a cacao producer. He has two children. He has an elementary-school education. He runs his farm with excellent results. He has worked for more than eight years growing cacao of exportation quality.

Thanks to his hard work, dedication, and focus on complying with Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas [BPA; Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)], he has managed to increase the productivity of his cacao trees. He has an area of 1.08 hectares with productive cacao.

He wants to implement a nutritional enhancement plan for his cacao trees, so he's currently applying for a loan for $425 from PAC. He's going to buy inputs like calcium, boron, potassium, and others.

This is his second loan from PAC. He paid back the first one in full and on time.
