Phen's story

Mrs. Phen V., aged 51, rears pigs and sells the piglets in the market. Her husband works as a horse-cart driver, transporting passengers and cargo around the neighbourhood, earning around $4.20 per day. They have one child who helps his mother raise pigs.

Mrs Verdy would like to request a loan of $1,200 in order to purchase a machine to charge batteries, such as vehicle batteries. The increased income generated by fees charged for the use of the machine will help her family financially and raise their standard of living.
