Elsa Maria's story

Elsa María is a 53-year-old mother; she lives together with her family in the San Pedro D. Lloc district, a district of the province of Pacasmayo which is in the region of L. Libertad, approximately two hours from the city of Chiclayo, capital of the region of Lambayeque.

She works selling ceviche, a typical Peruvian dish maD. from fresh fish and shellfish cooked in lime juice, and papa rellena, another typical national dish consisting in a mass of potato that is boiled, fried, and filled with meat and spices. She sells these two products from a cart in the local market. Her business allows her to help her husband with family expenses.

Elsa María would like to expand her business with the purchase of more ingredients that would allow her to prepare more dishes, with which she hopes to increase the level of her sales and her income. To reach this goal, she has decided to apply for a loan of 1000 nuevos soles from Edpyme Alternativa.

She is a very responsible woman and extremely dedicated to her family; her greatest desire is to give them a better quality of life. The people who know Elsa consider her to be a very friendly and peaceful person.
