A loan helped a member to buy cones of different sizes, ice cream cups of different sizes, spoons, and other things.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

The Mujeres Unidas committee is made up of working women, all of whom are merchants who own their own businesses. They are in cycle 4 of their loan. They are also part of the poverty elimination program, striving to improve their situation and life and overcome their poverty.

Limpia Concepcion is the president of the committee. She is a merchant who owns an ice cream parlor. She started selling ice cream on an itinerant basis. Over time and with the help of the Foundation she was able to set up her artisan ice cream shop in her home as well as build her own locale where all the neighbors come to her in hot weather. She also sells beverages.

She requests this loan to invest in her business and the purchase of her supplies such as cones of different sizes, ice cream cups of different sizes, spoons, and other things, as well as the maintenance of her machinery.
