A loan of $1,100 helped purchase rice, sugar, oil, and other consumer products.

Rosa Carmelina's story

In Los Bajos de Montecristi, a city known for its rich culture, fifteen members of the Communal Bank “Con Amor Y Fe Hacia el Desarrollo” (Toward Development with Love and Faith) meet every 15 days.

Rosa Carmelina has been a member of this Communal Bank for eleven years. She is a homemaker and has been married for 18 years. Rosa has two children who live with her.

She has a grocery store (general consumer products) that she manages with much attention and love because she enjoys what she does. Rosa says that every day she comes into contact with many people from her community. She and her husband wake up very early in the morning because her customers are early risers. Rosa has to provide them good service because it drives her sales and revenues, which are very good.

This new loan will be invested in the purchase of rice, sugar, oil, and other consumer products. Her aspirations are to enjoy good health, help her children become professionals, and continue many more years with Fundación ESPOIR which has provided her much support.
