Dufashanye Cb Group's story

Fortunee is a 49-year-old mother of six children who are aged 7 to 27 years old. Her husband is a farmer, and for the past 10 years, she has owned a grocery store.

Fortunee is the leader of the group called Dufashanye CB, which in English means “Helping each other" Group. Members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Fortunee will use her loan to buy more beans, rice, spices, cooking oil and maize flour to sell within her community, to meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to be able to provide school fees to her children and also expand her business in other communities.
