A loan of $500 helped purchase oil, beans, rice, sugar, and other products.

Zoila Emperatriz's story

Zoila is 36 years old and resides in the town of Lolotique in the Department of San Miguel. She is a single mother with three children (ages 10, 7, and 2) who are financially dependent on the income she generates from her business. Zoila has a store where she sells basic products.

Her mother started this business fifteen years ago. Zoila now manages the store Monday through Sunday. She is currently requesting a loan in order to buy products for her store such as oil, beans, rice, sugar, and other items that her customers demand. This loan will help expand her inventory and allow her to have more variety so that she can increase her sales and generate the necessary income to cover the family expenses.

Her goals are to support her young children with their studies so that they can earn a university degree and to open another store in the future.
