This village loan consists of 15 members who live in Boeng KrU. Leu village, Kandal province. Mrs. Vaeasna C. is 38 years old and is the village bank president, having been selected by its members. With the loans, the members of this village will use their money to support different purposes. Mrs. Vaeasna C. is a farmer who owns 1.3 hectares of land, which she uses to cultivate rice for a living. She decided to ask for a loan to buy rice seed to cultivate rice. Her husband, Mr. Sinat Tith, is an iron welder and also helps his wife on the farm. With both of these occupations they hope to increase income to improve their family. This couple has four children: One is a seamstress in a garment factory and two are students, while the youngest one, a six year old, is not yet in school.
