A loan of $725 helped buy fertilizer to take care of her cacao and coffee crops.

Hilda's story

Hilda, age 22, lives with her life partner and her three year old son, Jhon. They live together in Quimbiri, which is located in the Peruvian tropical jungle. They have their own house, which is made from wood.

She produces and sells cacao and coffee. The business has allowed her, in time, to increase her income. For that reason she plans to increase her planting in order to be able to maximize her production and her earnings. She normally works with her partner. They both take good care of their cacao and coffee crops. But, during harvest time they need the help of workers to facilitate the harvest and sorting of their crops.

She usually sells her cacao and coffee production for a competitive price at the wholesale centers in her community.

Her plan for the future is to build her house from sturdy material. She needs for her family to be safe and comfortable.

This is her second loan with MFP. She promises to make her payments on time. She gets along well with her communal bank. It offers security and trust.

She will use the requested loan to buy fertilizer in order to provide adequate maintenance on her cacao and coffee crops.
