José María's story

José María is a 42-year-old head of household who lives with his family in Tranca Sasape’s El Trapiche annex, a rural zone of Mórrope district, belonging to Lambayeque province located more than an hour away from the city of Chiclayo.

He is a grains and vegetables merchant. He acquires these products from area farmers to sell in various regional markets at wholesale and retail. His business is very well received because the products are consumed widely in the region so demand is assured. Income from this activity supports his family.

José María needs capital to expand his business. Currently, vegetable production in the area has increased because it’s harvest time and he hopes to acquire the largest amount possible in order to increase sales and profits. To reach this goal he has deemed in advisable to request his first,1800 new sol, loan from Edpyme Alternativa.

José María is a responsible father who is quite dedicated to his family. His greatest wish is to continue to grow as a businessman to insure his family a stable and peaceful future. His neighbors and acquaintances in his area consider him to be a tranquil and trustworthy person.
