Villa Universitaria Group's story

The “Villa Universitaria” (University Village) committee of the city of San Ignacio Misiones is dedicated to commerce: to the sale of clothing and food, to being domestic employees, storekeepers and others.

They are currently in their 12th cycle. By staying in the group they have benefitted from credit, eye clinic consults and training workshops provided by the Institution. They are motivated and want to continue collaborating with Fundación Paraguaya enjoying all the benefits that the program offers.

One of the members is Ana who has a grocery store where she stocks home use items, especially food and cleaning supplies. She comments that she has many customers and she does well with her business. In addition to her store she also raises small farm animals and grows fruits and vegetables for her family’s nutritional needs.

She is asking for funding to buy stock items for her store like: pasta, sugar, cooking oil, canned goods, baked goods, soaps and others.
