A loan helped to purchase more electronic cash and call scratch cards to meet customer demands.

Fuseina's story

Fuseina is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her uncle in the Savelugu/Nanton Municipal district in Ghana. With her previous Kiva loan, she launched an eatery business. She used the profit she earned to expand her business. Fuseina is now requesting another loan to purchase more electronic cash and call scratch cards to meet customer demands. She plans to use the profit she earns to reinvest into her business. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide, facilitating classes from CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build their self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.

This loan is special because:

It helps borrowers withstand negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
