Kunama Group's story

Estella N. is a 42 year old shopkeeper who lives in Rugombo in the Cibitoke province, which is in the west of Burundi. She sells food products such as corn seeds and beans at the Cibitoke market, and has been involved in this activity for around 25 years. She attended school up until the sixth year of elementary. She is Ezéchiel Nyandwi's widow and is on her first microcredit loan application with Turame .

She has 8 children, all of whom attend school, and are aged 17, 15, 12 and 9.

She is seeking a Kiva loan in order to increase her stock levels, so that she may generate higher profits. She aims to use her own funds in future to enlarge her business, build a house from hardy materials, see to her children's education and realise other goals.

She is a member of the 'Kunama' solidarity group.
