Lourinda's story

Lourinda J. is from the village of Alimannao, Peñablanca, Cagayan. She is 52 years old. Lourinda is married and has 4 children. To make a living, Lourinda owns & operates a business venture providing recycling services. The main source of income for the business comes from hauling plastics & other recyclables for local businesses and community members. Lourinda has been engaged in her business for over 3 years and earns approximately 6100 PHP a month for these activities.

Lourinda joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Lourinda has successfully repaid a previous loan from ASKI. This previous loan was used to purchase additional plastics & other recyclables to sell. Lourinda is requesting a new loan of 27,000 PHP which will be used to purchase additional plastics & other recyclables to resell. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay the tuition fees of her children.
