Nuon S., 52, is a widow farmer who lives with four of her children in Takeo province. Besides farming, she also sells fried bananas, making a combined profit of US $3 a day. Four of her children work in a garment factory. Since her children's transportation costs are so high, Nuon S. would like to take out a loan of US $1000 to purchase a motorbike for her children to commute to work.
