A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase fertilizer and cows.

Kim's story

Kim P., 40, is married and lives with two of her children in Takeo province. She and her husband are farmers who typically make about US$2.50 each day and are supported by two children working in the garment factory.

The weather conditions have been difficult for farming in Cambodia this past year and inflation has also been out of control. These factors have played into a difficult economic year for many Cambodians, Kim P. included. In light of these economic difficulties, she is asking for a loan of US$1,200 to purchase fertilizer and cows. She is confident that this loan will allow her to increase her daily income and be better able to support her family.
