Yorng's story

Yorng S., 44, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kompong Chnang Province, Cambodia, an area known for quality palm products. S. raises pigs for an income of USD 5 per day. Her husband is a police officer, earning an income of USD 5 per day. S. is requesting a loan of USD 800 to purchase more piglets to raise for sale.

In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia. S.'s husband appears in the photograph because S. was not available.
