Yungueñitas Group's story

The Panamerican Focal Center is a center that has found it way to the city of Copacabana. At this very center the “Yungueñitas” communal association has renewed its credit. This group has eight members, it is beginning its seventeenth cycle. Its most long-standing members have been in our institution for around 8 years; at its head is the president Verónica.

Verónica mentions that she is a founding member, because she is from the first cycle of the Association's operation. Her business is diverse, as she has a business selling pork crackling and another selling clothes, her younger sister helps her look after her customers. The sales are made at the different markets of El Alto, in the areas: "16 de Julio" (Thursday and Sunday), "Rio Seco" and "la Ceja" the other days. Her first loan was for $us100.- and she used it to buy material for work, for this new cycle she is asking for Bs.3000.- for the purchase of merchandise. This effort allows her, together with her husband, to raise their five children.

Regarding the other members of the “Yungueñitas” association they also have their own businesses in service, production and business.

In this group: Verónica Angelica, Victoria, Adelaida*, Regina, Valentina, Juana Wilma, Milka Shirley, Graciela
