A loan helped a member from the Roma community to pay for the seasonal expenses on planting her lands in order to make an extra income for her family.

Blerta's story

Blerta is a 44 years old woman from the vulnerable community of Roma. She is a divorced mother of two minor children. To provide for her family, Blerta sells used clothes and also does agricultural activities.

She has rented more land than what she owns and is satisfied with the incomes generated from this activity. Blerta is getting ready for the winter season and she wants to prepare the land for planting and to buy wheat seed and fertilizers. She also wants to plant lettuce, cabbage and leaks in order to make an extra income during the winter season.

Blerta is asking for the first time for Kiva lenders support to be able to pay for the expenses needed on order to have a good harvest at the end of the season. This will allow her to make a good income for her little boys.
