A loan helped to purchase more handbags, clothes, and other items to sell.

Norah's story

Meet 30-year-old Norah from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with 4 children. She attended school up to high school.

She runs a business where she sells handbags, clothes, and other items. She has been in this business for the past 10 years now. She works 15 hours per day, 6 days a week, and has had no problem with her business. Norah requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more handbags, clothes, and other items to sell and grow her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help pay her loan installments on time.

In the future she would like to improve her business. She says thanks and appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
