A loan helped a member to stock up on potatoes, green beans, cooking oil, rice, flour which will reinforce her working capital.

Iriba Group's story

Mme Micheline is a Hekima IMF client and she oversees the village group IRIBA. She is single, 38 years old and the mother of one child who attends school.

Four years ago, Mme Micheline started a restaurant with the start up funds provided by herself. Later she became involved with Hekima to support her business which has developed progressively. This new loan will allow her to buy potatoes, green beans, cooking oil, rice and flour which will support her working capital. The challenge in her business is tied to the Covid-19 pandemic which has necessitated the closure of both homes and businesses.

Mme Micheline would like her child to continue to attend school and she would like to buy a house. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to non-bankable business owners in the context of the global Covid-19 crisis. The picture is of the leader only due to the social distancing measures necessitated by Covid-19.
