A loan of $550 helped inventory.

Julia's story

Julia is 45 years old and a jovial mother. She is separated and lives in a home of her own, along with her two children, who attend school. In the mornings she works caring for senior citizens at the work center, located an hour from her home by car. She spends the rest of the day selling nutritional products to her neighbors and acquaintances.

Her two years in this business have given her the necessary experience for persuading her customers, so her sales are profitable.

She likes to sell from this location, because people are concerned with preserving their health, although they don’t consume as many of these products during the winter months as during the summer. She expects to increase her customer base and finish building her house so that she can live off of the rent.

This will be her tenth loan through MFP and she expects to make all of her payments on time. As her group’s leader, she is committed to working responsibly. She will use the money from this loan to increase her inventory of nutritional products so that she can fill pending customer orders.
