Ma. Rubi's story

Ma. Rubi lives a simple dwelling with her family in San Dionisio, Iloilo. She is 47 years old with three dependents.

She makes a living through a direct-selling business. She has been in this livelihood for many years. Aside from this, Ma. Rubi also sells snack foods for additional income.

Now, she asks for a loan through Kiva’s field partner CEV, (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan for additional capital to buy products like slippers, shorts, shirts and other apparel. The rest of the loan will be used to buy food ingredients.

Ma. Rubi dreams to expand this business in the future and become productive.
