A loan helped to purchase more welding metals to increase his business.


Hamid's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 43-year-old Hamid from Waterloo branch. He is a married businessman with four children between the ages of 8 months and 18 years old. He started this business to support his children.

Hamid runs a retail business and sells welded metals to his customers around the community. He has been in this business for 16 years now. Hamid says his challenge is the inflation in the prices of metals.

He requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more welding metals to increase his business. Hamid says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of his family. In the future, he would like to establish into a larger scale. He says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
