A loan helped a member to pay for bag and footwear to resell.

01_Randoulene Sud Group's story

This group, composed of eight good and honest women, is from the 'BancVillageois' set up in the area in May 2009. They are from the same neighborhood and keep up very goods social and professional ties. They are quite familiar with loans and have already paid back more than ten loans on time. Their main work is in commerce.

Ms. Maguette, the group's representative with a hand raised, appears by herself in the photo (due to the COVID pandemic). She is 34 years old, married, and the mother of three. She runs a business selling footwear and bags; she gets supplies of footwear in the capital while the bags are sent from Europe. These are sold retail from out of her home and in town where her customers are. She has several years of experience in this domain.

With her loan, she is going to purchase some shoes and bags and to cover the transport costs; she is counting on selling at a profit. She turns over her merchandise without a problem. Her earnings enable her to pay her medical costs, bolster her savings, and cover some day-to-day expenses.

In this group: Maguette, Aïssatou, Ndéye Amy, Khady, Maguette, Fatou, Fatou, Rokhaya
