A loan helped to be able to increase working capital for his business and to buy supplies like grains, rice, and other items.

Sofanor's story

Sofanor is a 30 year old small businessman. He lives in the city of Cartagena de Indias. This is where he has had a store as his business for approximately eight years. Sofanor started this business as an inheritance from his brother and as a family tradition. He did this out of the desire to get his family ahead.

He provides services daily to people in surrounding areas, neighbors, friends, and others. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, profits and sales in his business were greatly diminished because he had to close his store early due to health and safety issues.

He is requesting his first Kiva loan with the Fundación Santo Domingo in order to be able to increase working capital in his business and to buy supplies like grains, rice, and other items to stock his business. With the loan he will increase sales and profits in his business. Please help him with his business loan.
