Telesia's story

This widow's name is Telesia. She is 72 years old, and she has been running her weaving business for decades now. Telesia practiced weaving when she became married. Afterward, she started her business and made income for her family. She has six grown-ups, and even though they have their own families now, Telesia still provides and cares for their children. She is a sole weaver, but there is a group of women who also weave for her. In her weaving business, she produces mats, taovala, and fihu using both white and brown pandanus.
