A loan of $375 helped purchase a cart.

Reyna's story

Reyna is single, 33 years old, and has got a 12 year-old son that is in school. Reyna has a store in her house where she sells vegetables and general groceries. She began her business over 10 years ago, an activity that she realizes every day. Also, Reyna provides hemming services. She started her business in a rented house, but a year ago, she constructed her home which she moved into a week ago. Reyna also rents out rooms in her home in order to generate more income. She is a member of the Communal Bank Obreras and needs a loan of 1000 soles, which she would invest in the purchase of a cart so that she can begin selling salchipollos (a type of Peruvian hot dog). Reyna's dreams are to add a second floor to her house to rent out and for her son to become a professional.
