A loan helped to pay a rural woman's necessary expenses for the upcoming planting season in order to have a good harvest and make extra income.

Qerime's story

Qerime is a 65-year-old rural woman. She and her husband live in a small village located near Bilisht City, in south-eastern Albania. Their children are grown-up and live with their own families.

Qerime and her husband are both retired, and in addition to their retirement pension, they do agricultural activities to make extra income.

They have 20 dynym of family land, on which they plant onions, beans, wheat and other vegetables. Qerime also has an apple orchard. As they are preparing for the next season, they need to pay to plant the land and also to buy wheat seed.

Qerime is asking for the first time for Kiva lenders to support her to pay the expenses needed in order to have a good harvest at the end of the season.
