A loan helped a member to stock up on candies, cookies, Omo, rice, flour, and sugar for her shop.

La Sagesse Group's story

Ms. Therese is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the village group “LA SAGESSE”; she is divorced, 49 years old, and the mother of three children of whom one is in school, and two are independent.

A seller of goods in general in her own shop, she began this enterprise four years ago with startup funding of her own. Later on, she got involved with the Hekima program to support her enterprise and has since been progressing in it.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up on candies, cookies, Omo, rice, flour, and sugar, and this will bolster her initial capital. The challenge in her work has to do with a lack of merchandise.

She would like to feed her family and to develop her enterprise. So, she wishes to say thank you to Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo shows only the group leader due to COVID-19, so as to respect social distancing measures.
